End User License Agreement
Last updated October 26, 2026.
1. Acceptance of this Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is between you and ChristChant Software Publishing, a sole proprietorship registered with the DTI (Business Name No. 8442440) with its registered address at La Paz–Javier–Bito Road, Picas Norte, Javier, Leyte 6511, Philippines ("ChristChant", "we", or "us"). It governs your installation and use of the ChristChant desktop application (the "Software"), and your related account creation, license-entitlement verification, and download of the Software through christchant.com. By installing, launching, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
2. License grant
ChristChant grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Software on devices you own or control, for the purpose of preparing and presenting worship services and related media. The Software is licensed, not sold, to you. No title or ownership in the Software passes to you under this Agreement. ChristChant and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including every related copyright, trademark, trade secret, and patent right; no rights are granted to you beyond the limited license expressly stated here.
3. What the license does not permit
Except where applicable law gives you a right that cannot be waived, you agree not to: copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Software; redistribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, or attempt to circumvent any technical protection or license-entitlement check it uses; or remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice contained in it.
4. Third-party and open-source components
The Software bundles third-party and open-source components (including Electron, Vue.js, and others), each under its own license, and a headless document engine used for file conversion. Those components are not covered by this EULA; their license terms and attribution are listed in full inside the application's "Legal Notice" screen, shown before every session, and travel with the installed Software.
5. Your content
ChristChant is a presentation tool: it displays and organizes whatever scripture, lyrics, images, video, or other material you choose to import or connect. It does not create, curate, review, or endorse that content, and nothing in the Software or this Agreement should be read as encouraging or authorizing the use of any content unlawfully.
Scripture text presented as the King James Version is in the public domain. Any other material ChristChant provides or bundles with the Software (such as its typefaces) is either in the public domain or provided under an open license permitting this use, as detailed in the application's "Legal Notice" screen. For any other translation, song lyrics, or liturgical material you import or display, you are solely responsible for holding the necessary rights or license (including CCLI or comparable licensing where required).
The Software includes a web browser for looking up material online. Websites opened in it are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies; ChristChant does not control, endorse, or monitor them and is not responsible for their content or availability. Copying material from a website grants no right to reproduce or display it: you remain solely responsible for holding the rights described above. The browser's history, bookmarks, tabs, and site data are stored only on your computer and are not sent to ChristChant.
ChristChant claims no ownership over content you supply, and is not responsible or liable for any content presented through the Software by you or any other user, including its accuracy, legality, or your right to use it. You alone are responsible for the content you present and for your compliance with applicable law and any third party's rights.
6. Subscription, entitlements & updates
Some features are gated to a paid plan and are enabled or disabled based on the subscription entitlement associated with your account, as described in the Payment Terms. Your entitlement is periodically re-verified; if a subscription lapses, the Software returns to its free-tier behavior rather than stopping outright. The Software may check for and install updates, which this Agreement also covers once installed.
7. Data collection & privacy
This EULA does not restate our data practices in full. Our Privacy Policy governs what we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it, and is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. In addition to what that policy describes, the Software itself may collect and transmit limited technical and diagnostic data, such as crash reports, performance metrics, and your license-entitlement status, to operate reliably and to verify the subscription described in Section 6.
8. Term & termination
This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach any term of this Agreement. ChristChant may also terminate it if your account is closed. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove it from your devices; sections of this Agreement that by their nature should survive (ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, liability) continue to apply.
9. Disclaimer of warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, ChristChant is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your installation or use of the Software, including loss of data, loss of use, or interruption to a live service. ChristChant's total liability under this Agreement will not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₱1,000 if you have not made any payment.
11. Governing law & jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Agreement or the Software is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Philippines, except where the law of your country of residence grants you a right to bring a claim in your local courts that cannot be waived.
12. Eligibility & export compliance
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to agree to this EULA. By installing the Software, you represent that you meet this requirement. You also represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or region subject to a Philippine or applicable international trade embargo, and that you are not on any restricted-party or denied-persons list. You agree not to use the Software in violation of any export control or economic sanctions law.
13. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this EULA from time to time, most often alongside a new version of the Software. Continuing to use the Software after an update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
