The Windows and MacOS Version 1 build is live. The free tier is the full app.

What we shipped

Every release, what changed in it, and when it went out. ChristChant updates in the background and installs when you next quit, never mid-service.

Latest 1.6.12

Overlays, song import and a simpler plan

A new Overlays layer replaces the Camera header and lets you stack transparent graphics on any live screen. Paste lyrics line by line in a redesigned song editor, and ChristChant now remembers every page you visited in the built-in browser. The plan is now simpler too: Free and Premium.

  • Overlays: stack transparent graphics on any live screen
  • Song editor: paste lyrics line by line, chords applied automatically
  • Web Browser: History panel and persistent pages across sessions
  • Screen Map: see every screen at its real size on the room plan
  • NDI and SDI now follow your Screen Layouts
  • Two plans: Free and Premium (₱575/month)

Added

  • Overlays: a new transparent layer sits above every live screen. Drop in a logo, a lower-third, a bug or any PNG with an alpha channel, and it floats over lyrics, scripture and video without touching the slide. Add as many as you need, set opacity, and turn each one on or off from the Flow.
  • Screen Map: a Room Map button in the Pipeline Flow opens a live plan of your space. Every screen appears at its real shape and dimensions, with a live thumbnail of what it is showing. Zoom in, pan or orbit in 3D, and tap any screen to jump to its settings.
  • Web Browser History: the built-in browser now keeps every page you visit. The History panel lists your trail, back and forward navigation remembers where you were, and pages stay loaded when you close and reopen the drawer.

Improved

  • Song editor: the new Import / Paste lyrics mode lets you drop in a block of text and split it into slides one line at a time, with a dedicated single-row-per-line view. Chord detection now runs automatically when you paste, so the Enhance Chords button is gone.
  • Congregation layouts: what were called Main Screen layouts are now called Congregation layouts throughout the app, matching the name used everywhere else.
  • NDI and SDI outputs now follow your Screen Layouts. Switching a layout updates the NDI and SDI feeds immediately, without touching the output settings.
  • Simplified plans: ChristChant now has two plans, Free and Premium. Premium (₱575/month) includes every feature, every screen and the full production toolkit. The three previous tiers are retired.
  • Microsoft Store: ChristChant is now available on the Microsoft Store. Existing installs keep working and update as normal.

Fixed

  • NDI output no longer loses its layout assignment after the app is restarted.
  • The in-app browser no longer reloads pages that were already open when you reopen the drawer.
1.3.33

Overlays, dual-layer slides and a new sound mixer

Put lower thirds, logos, QR codes and messages over anything live, give every slide a see-through overlay twin, black one screen at a time, and mix every sound source from the title bar.

  • Overlays: lower thirds, logos, QR codes and messages over anything live
  • Every slide has a Main page and a see-through Overlay page
  • Black one screen at a time, or all of them
  • A sound mixer in the title bar for every source

Added

  • Overlays replace the header Camera button. Build a see-through prop (a lower third, QR code, logo or animated title) at any canvas size, pin up to 12, and put them on air over whatever is live. Stack several at once, each on the screens you pick, and let a layer hide itself after 5, 10 or 30 seconds.
  • Dual-layer slides: every slide, song template and Bible template now has a Main page and a see-through Overlay page in the same file. Send Main to the room and the Overlay to the stream or any other screen, from the Slides, Lyrics and Bible tabs of the Overlays desk.
  • Audience messages are now designed on the canvas. Make a message design of your own (a ticker, a lower third or a floating pill) or keep the built-in ticker, and pick it from the header Message button.
  • Black has a dropdown: Black all as before, or black just the lobby, the congregation or the stage. Restore all brings every screen back.
  • A sound mixer in the title bar: a master volume and mute, plus a fader, mute and left or right speaker for each source.
  • Two new live sources in the slide editor: Facebook videos and lives from their link, and IP cameras from their rtsp:// address. Camera logins are kept encrypted on this computer.
  • Import songs from ProPresenter 6, OpenLP and EasyWorship 7. Every song is checked first and nothing is saved until you confirm.
  • Undo import: remove every song a song import added in one click.

Improved

  • PowerPoint import is much closer to the original: shapes keep their real outlines, gradients, styled tables, cropped pictures and charts come in as drawn, and no more black bars beside 4:3 backgrounds. If anything cannot be placed, you are told how much.
  • Network & Streaming settings are reorganised into tabs: Overview, NDI Sources, NDI Audio and SDI, with an alpha key and audio router for every NDI source.
  • A redesigned Wi-Fi hotspot screen with a QR code the phone can scan to join, and a strong password generator.
  • A new Bible translation picker after the scripture search: find a translation, pin favourites, and see each version grouped by language.
  • A redesigned song editor with a live preview of the slides and a printable chord chart.
  • The output monitor now dims the rest of the app while it is open, so you can focus on the screens.
  • On Windows, updates now come through the Microsoft Store.

Fixed

  • PowerPoint charts and graphics are no longer dropped from hidden slides, and a failed conversion is retried once.
  • Styled text from PowerPoint no longer shows raw formatting codes on the projector or thumbnails.
1.0.41

Timer actions, word styling and undo in the slide editor

Timers can now act when they reach zero, the slide editor gains undo, per-word styling and element motion.

  • Timers can go to the next slide, or show text or an image, at zero
  • Style single words inside a text box
  • Undo and redo in the slide editor

Added

  • Timer actions at zero: pause, next slide, show text, show image, clear text, black screen, start another timer, or keep counting.
  • Every timer gets its own colour. Changing colour as time runs out is now optional, with colours you choose.
  • Slide editor: give selected words their own font, size, colour, bold, italic and highlight.
  • Slide editor: undo and redo with Cmd/Ctrl+Z.
  • Entrance and looping motion for shapes, images and other elements.
  • Group colours button in the song live controller, with shortcuts to Key Mapping and Song Settings.

Improved

  • Redesigned Timers panel: lengths in hours, minutes and seconds, clearer status, and right-click to remove a timer.
  • Pasting from a website into the slide editor now keeps only the text.
  • Slide thumbnails in the editor now match the slide exactly.
  • Sign-in renews in the background, so sessions stay active.
  • Missing store images and videos in the editor show a clear message with a fix button.
  • Reorganised macOS menu.

Fixed

  • Layer names no longer show code for styled text.
  • Styling a word no longer adds an unwanted line break.
1.0.29

Stage layouts, clearer notifications and sign-in fixes

Seven new built-in stage designs, notifications you can actually notice, a single Activate switch for every screen, and fixes for stuttering video, sign-in and the first-run window.

  • Seven new stage layouts for Song, Bible, Slide, Video and Image
  • Larger notifications that stay on screen longer
  • One Activate switch for each screen
  • Fixes for video stutter, sign-in hangs and the first-run window

Added

  • Feedback can now include diagnostic logs. An opt-in checkbox in the feedback dialog attaches a redacted report (app version, computer and graphics details, recent error messages) so problems can be fixed faster. It is off by default, you can read exactly what will be sent first, and it never includes passwords, sign-in tokens, or your songs and files.
  • The app now keeps a startup log, and if its interface fails to load it reloads once and then shows a readable error screen (with the details and a Close button) instead of a blank window.

Improved

  • New built-in Stage Layouts: seven designs (Midnight Glass, Golden Hour, Velvet, Mono, Aurora, Ember and Sanctuary), each available for Song, Bible, Slide, Video and Image, replacing the single plain boxed layout. Pick one from the Stage Layout panel, which now also has Video and Image tabs, or duplicate one to make your own. Machines that had the old built-in selected switch to Midnight Glass.
  • The stage screen now has its own layouts for the Image pipeline, showing the current and next image, the image's name, and where you are in the deck ("3 / 12"). Previously an image deck fell back to a plain single view.
  • Notifications are now much easier to notice. They are larger, with an icon and a heading, a close button, and a bar showing how long they will stay. They stay on screen for 6 to 12 seconds (longest for problems) instead of under 3, and they stay put while the pointer is over them.
  • After signing in from the browser, a full-window loading screen now shows each step (confirming sign-in, loading your account, checking your plan, preparing your workspace) until the workspace is ready, instead of a blank or unchanged screen.
  • Signing out now asks first. The warning lists what will happen (every output closes, premium features turn off, in-app browser sign-ins are cleared, unsaved editor changes are lost) and what stays (your library, screens and settings).
  • Each screen now has one Activate switch, replacing "Show in Master Output" in Settings → Screens. It is the same switch as the one on the screen's card in Pipeline Flow (and a new one in its side panel), so turning a screen on or off in any of them updates all of them. Activating shows the screen in Master Output and puts it on its display; disabling closes it and hides it from Master Output. Disabled screens appear dimmed in Pipeline Flow.
  • "Reset to Defaults" moved from the settings footer, where it only worked on the General tab, to a labelled action in Settings → Advanced.
  • The Stage Layout editors now keep the app's title bar and header visible, like the Slide editor, instead of covering the whole window.

Fixed

  • Fixed video backgrounds stuttering or freezing on the projector while a lyric used a looping text animation (Glow, Pulse or Electric). The glow is now drawn once and faded in and out by the graphics card, instead of being redrawn on every frame on top of the video.
  • Fixed downloaded motion backgrounds and images disappearing from the Marketplace's Downloaded tab when the online catalog could not be loaded or did not list them. Anything saved on this computer now always shows as installed.
  • Fixed the Sign out button missing from the account menu in the sidebar. It had been pushed off the edge of the menu; it is back on its own row. Feedback moved out of that menu, since the sidebar already has its own Feedback button.
  • Fixed signing in or activating from the browser sometimes leaving the app stuck on the sign-in screen with no error. If the plan check was slow, the app kept waiting on it indefinitely. The app now continues signed in after at most a few seconds and keeps checking the plan in the background.
  • Fixed the first-run setup window ("Welcome to ChristChant") appearing as a thin, unusable vertical sliver on fresh installs. A design-token name collision made every dialog sized with Tailwind's named widths (`max-w-xl`, `max-w-md`, …) collapse to 8–48px wide. The Video Search confirmation dialog was affected the same way. The named width scale now resolves correctly, and a regression test guards it.
