Campaign Policy

Last updated November 3, 2026.

A campaign is a profile frame a church shares as one link, so people can put their own photo in it. Campaigns are for churches and ministries to celebrate, invite and encourage: a youth camp, a baptism, an anniversary, a season of worship. This policy says what a campaign may not contain. It is part of the Terms of Service, and it applies to every campaign, whether it is made from a ready-made design, uploaded, or designed in the ChristChant app.

1. Not allowed in a campaign

A campaign's picture, words and name must not contain or show:

  • Nudity or sexual content, including suggestive poses, sexual words or sexual jokes.
  • Anything that sexualises, endangers or exploits a child. We remove it at once, close the account, and report it to the authorities.
  • Violence or gore, or anything that threatens, praises or encourages harm to anyone, including self-harm.
  • Hate or harassment: attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, age, disability or any other part of who they are, and bullying or mocking any person or group.
  • Weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco or gambling being promoted or sold.
  • Anything illegal, or anything that encourages breaking the law.
  • Phone numbers, QR codes, links or web addresses of any kind, including social media handles, email addresses and shortened links. A campaign is shared by its own link; nothing in the picture may send people anywhere else.
  • Private details: home addresses, ID numbers, account or payment details, or anyone's photo or name used without their permission.
  • Content you have no right to use: logos, artwork, photos, fonts or words that belong to someone else, unless you have their permission.
  • Impersonation or deception: pretending to be another church, ministry, person or brand, or misleading people about who is behind the campaign.
  • Scams and fundraising you cannot account for: requests for money, donations or payment details, or promises that are not true.
  • Advertising for products or businesses that are not your church's own ministry.
  • Campaigning for a political party or candidate.
  • Shocking or disturbing images that are not right for people of every age.

2. Every campaign is checked before it goes live

A campaign starts private. When you make it public, it shows as Pending until ChristChant has checked it, and its link does not work until it is approved. Changing a live campaign's picture or name sets it back to Pending. We may decline a campaign that breaks this policy, with a note saying what to change.

3. What we may do

Approval is not a promise that a campaign follows this policy, and the church that made it stays responsible for it. If a campaign breaks this policy, at any time, we may take it down without notice, stop its link from working, stop the church or person from making campaigns, or suspend or close the account, as the Terms of Service allow. We will tell you what we did and why, unless the law or someone's safety means we cannot.

4. The photos people add

The photo someone puts in a campaign is framed on their own phone or computer and never reaches us, so we cannot see or check it. Each person is responsible for the photo they use and where they share the picture. See Campaigns and your photos in the Privacy Policy.

5. Report a campaign

If you see a campaign that breaks this policy, email hello@christchant.com with its link and what is wrong. We look at every report.
