Plan a service
Create a service, add your songs, readings and slides in order, and run it from the plan on Sunday, with a separate place for anything unplanned.
On this page
A service in ChristChant is your order of service: the songs, readings, slides and videos, in the order they'll happen. Build it during the week, and on Sunday every item is one click from the screens.
Open the planning sidebar
At the top of the sidebar on the left, click the calendar icon to switch from the AI Assistant to Planning. Ctrl + B shows or hides the sidebar.
Create a service
- Click Add Service (or + next to the service list).
- Choose Recurring for a regular service, or Special Event for a one-off such as a conference or a wedding.
- Give it a Service name. The suggestions underneath (Sunday Morning, Wednesday Bible Study…) fill it in for you.
- Under Schedule, pick the date. This Sun and This Wed are one click. Add start and end times if you like.
- Click Create Service.
- Repeats: for a recurring service, tick the day of the week and how often (Every 1 week). It then appears on the calendar every week, ready to plan.
- Colour tag and Cover image make services easy to tell apart.
- Location, Runs for and Notes (theme, speaker, special instructions) are there for the team.
Add items
Add anything from the libraries in the dock at the bottom of the window:
- Drag a song, verse, image, video or presentation onto the plan.
- Or right-click a song and choose Add to Schedule. It's added to the selected service.
Run the service from the plan
On Sunday, select the service at the top of the sidebar. Click an item to open it, or right-click it for more:
| Menu item | Does |
|---|---|
| Go to Preview | Opens it in the Preview, privately. |
| Feed | Gets it ready in the Live Controller without changing the screens. |
| Feed & Go Live | Puts it on the screens. |
| Change theme… | Picks how this one item looks. |
| Remove from playlist | Takes it out of the service. |
Unscheduled items
The bottom half of the sidebar, Unscheduled, holds things you pull up on the fly that aren't part of the plan, such as a song the worship leader adds at the last minute. Keeping them separate means the planned order is never disturbed.
