Your slide deck opens. No Office required.
Most presentation software either refuses PowerPoint files outright or quietly depends on Microsoft Office being installed on the booth machine. ChristChant reads the file itself.
Native .pptx parsing
The file is unpacked and its XML read directly: text, shapes and layout.
No Office licence
Nothing from Microsoft needs to be installed on the presentation machine.
No connection needed
Import runs entirely on the machine. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Editable, not flattened
Imported slides become native slides you can restyle, not pictures of slides.
The file is read, not rendered by something else
A .pptx is a zip archive of XML. ChristChant opens it, walks the XML, and pulls out the text runs, shapes and layout, then rebuilds them as its own slides. There is no hidden Office dependency and no conversion service in the middle.
- No Microsoft Office licence on the presentation machine
- Works with no internet connection
- PDFs import through the same pipeline
- Imported slides become editable, not flat pictures
About this feature
No. ChristChant unpacks .pptx files and parses their XML itself, so PowerPoint decks open on a machine that has never had Office installed. PDFs come in through the same pipeline.
