Sooner or later, something will be on the screen that shouldn't be: the wrong verse, a slide during a prayer, a video that won't stop. ChristChant gives you a few ways to take it off, each a single click or a couple of words.

Stop (1) and Black (2), at the top right of every screen in ChristChant.

Black

Click Black and every screen goes black. The button turns into a pulsing Exit black so you can't forget, and the Congregation monitor shows black too. Click Exit black to bring the picture straight back.

While blacked out, you can keep preparing in the Preview and the Live Controller.

Clear the screen

To take the words off but keep the background, type clear the screen in the command palette (Ctrl + K) or the AI Assistant, then press Enter twice: once to choose it, once more to confirm. Restore the screen brings the words back the same way. The keyboard shortcuts skip the confirmation: Ctrl + Shift + C clears the text, Ctrl + Shift + U restores it.

Stop and Drop

  • Stop, next to Black, ends the live output. It turns back into Play, which starts it again.
  • Drop, at the top of a pipeline's Preview, takes that one pipeline off the live bus and leaves the others alone. You'll also find Drop on its card in Pipeline Flow, and Cut to black on the Program card.
Does Black affect the stream and the Stage Screen?

Black blacks out the output, so every screen that mirrors the program goes black. Click Exit black and they all come back together.
