Show a message across the screens
Run a scrolling message over whatever is on screen, such as a nursery call or a parking notice, without stopping the song or the sermon.
On this page
Some things can't wait for the announcements: a parent needed in the nursery, a car with its lights on, a full car park. A message scrolls across the bottom of the screens, over whatever is showing, so the service carries on.
Write a message
- In the panel under the Congregation monitor, open the Messages tab.
- Type the message under New message.
- Press Enter or click Add to queue. It goes on the screens straight away, scrolling across the top, and the card says ON SCREEN.
Under the message, loops clears it by itself after it has scrolled past that many times (0 keeps it up until you take it off).
Choose the look and the screens, or take it off
- Click Overlay in the header, then the Message tab.
- Pick a look (the Built-in ticker, or one you've designed) and, under Screens, which screens show it.
- Click On air to take the message off. It turns into Go on air, to put it back. The eye button hides it for a moment without taking it off air.
Presets for the messages you send every week
Under Presets in the Messages tab, keep the messages you send often, grouped by team, such as Nursery / Childcare and Parking / Security. A preset can have blanks to fill in, such as #{Child Number}, so the nursery team only types the number. Click a preset to send it, or New to add one.
How is a message different from a stage cue?
A message is for the congregation and scrolls across their screens. A stage cue is for the band and speaker, and only ever appears on the Stage Screen. See Set up the stage monitor.
