Going live

See where everything is going with Pipeline Flow

A live map of every source, the program and every screen: what's on air, what's cued, and which display each output is on. Click any card to change it.

When several things are happening at once (a song on the main screen, lyrics with chords on the stage, a countdown in the lobby), it helps to see it all in one place. Pipeline Flow draws your whole setup as a map, live.

Watch: Pipeline Flow (about 2 minutes)
Open it with Flow in the header. It shows what's on air even while closed.
Sources on the left, the program in the middle, your screens on the right.
#ColumnWhat's in it
1SourcesEach pipeline that has something loaded: Song, Bible, the slide lanes, Video and so on, with what's in it and which slide it's on.
2ProgramThe source that's on air. Choose a different source from its list, or click Cut to black.
3OutputsEach screen, with a live thumbnail, its display, and what it's showing.

The lines show the routing. Along the bottom, the key explains them: On Air (red), Standby (amber), Preview (blue), a solid line for an Active route and a dashed one for Cued. Across the top, the summary counts what's on air, what's cued and how many screens are routed.

Sources

A source card shows its content and where it's up to.
  • To Program makes that source the program, so it goes to the projector. It appears on a source that's on the live bus but isn't the program.
  • Drop takes the source off the live bus.
  • Previews, at the top left, shows or hides the thumbnails. The idle lanes button shows pipelines with nothing loaded.

Outputs

Each screen has its own card. The switch on the card opens or closes the screen's window on its display, and the menu next to it chooses the display. A screen that has no display yet shows Choose screen.

Click a card to open its settings on the right:

Name, source, display, startup and geometry, all in one panel.
  • Signal → Source: what the screen shows. The Main Screen always mirrors the program.
  • Output → Open on …: puts the screen fullscreen on its display. Nothing appears until you press it, or until Open at startup does it for you.
  • Display: the display it's attached to, and Detach display.
  • Geometry: resolution, scaling, rotation and mirroring.
  • Open in workspace jumps to the screen's full settings.

Add another screen

New screens are added in the Venue, on the Screen Map, and appear here as soon as they exist. A lobby TV, an overflow room, a confidence monitor for the speaker: each is just another output. See Map your space and Add more screens.

Picture and Sound

The switch at the top left changes the map. Picture is where the slides go. Sound shows every sound on the left and every place sound can go on the right, with a cable for each connection: drag a sound onto an output to connect it, and click a cable's knob for its level. Sound routing comes with the plans that include Direct Live and NDI.

Copy summary

Copy summary, at the bottom right, copies a plain-text description of the current routing. It's handy to paste into a message when you're asking for help.
