Install ChristChant and put your first song on screen
Download the installer, sign in or try it as a guest, and get lyrics on your projector in about ten minutes.
ChristChant runs on Windows 10 or later (64-bit) and on macOS. There is one installer for every plan on each system: nothing is held back from the download, and your plan only decides what unlocks once you're in.
Install
- Go to christchant.com/download (opens in a new tab) and choose the download for your computer: Windows or macOS.
- On Windows, run the installer (ChristChant-Setup followed by the version number). Windows asks for permission to make changes, because ChristChant installs for everyone who uses this computer.
- On a Mac, open the downloaded .dmg file and drag ChristChant into your Applications folder.
- Open ChristChant from the desktop shortcut or Start menu (Windows), or from Applications or Launchpad (Mac).
Sign in, or try it first
The first screen introduces ChristChant and its licence terms. Open Get Started to continue.
- Sign In opens your web browser. Sign in there, then come back to the app. The browser has its own sign-in, so it may ask you to log in even if you already have.
- Create an Account opens the sign-up page in your browser.
- Skip for Now takes you straight in on the Free plan. You can sign in any time later.
Put your first song on screen
ChristChant always shows you the next slide privately in the Preview before anyone else sees it. Here's the whole journey, from your song library to the screen.
- At the bottom of the window, open the Songs tab.
- Click a song. It opens in the Preview, with every verse laid out underneath.
- Check the first slide in the Preview. Only you can see this.
- Click Feed & Go Live. The song moves to the Live Controller and appears on your screens.
- Click any verse in the Live Controller to show it. The panel on the right mirrors exactly what the congregation sees.
Connect your projector
Plug in your projector or TV before you open ChristChant, and set your computer to extend the display rather than mirror it. On Windows, choose Extend these displays. On a Mac, open System Settings → Displays and make sure Mirror is off. ChristChant finds the second display and opens the Main Screen on it automatically. To choose which display it uses, open Screens in the menu bar: Set up your screens walks through it.
Do I need the internet to run a service?
No. Once ChristChant is installed, songs, the bundled Bible, slides and media all work offline. See The internet is down on a Sunday morning.
What do the paid plans add?
The Free plan runs a complete service on your main screen, with a small ChristChant watermark. Premium (₱575/month) removes the watermark and adds the Stage screen, the phone remote and annotator, chord charts, extra slide lanes, extra screens, NDI, SDI, live streaming, and the full band and messaging tools. See What each plan unlocks. A plan runs on one computer at a time: One computer at a time.
