Find your way around the workspace
A map of the ChristChant window: where you plan, where you prepare, what goes live, what the congregation sees, and the controls along the top.
On this page
Everything in ChristChant happens in one window, built around a simple idea: you prepare privately, then you send it to the screens. Learn these nine areas and you can run a service.
| # | Area | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Header | Your tools on the left (search, remote, calendar, Cart, Flow and Venue), and the live controls on the right: Focus, the AI Assistant, Lanes, Overlay, Play and Black. |
| 2 | Sidebar | The AI Assistant on top, and Unscheduled items underneath: things you pull up on the fly that aren't in the service plan. |
| 3 | Pipeline rail | Switches between your content: Song, Sermons, Announcements, Lobby, Timer, Bible, Video and Image. |
| 4 | Preview | The next slide, seen only by you. Get it right here first. |
| 5 | Live Controller | What's on air. Click a slide here to show it. Underneath, the Overlay strip puts a slide's see-through overlay on air. |
| 6 | Monitor | A live mirror of exactly what the congregation sees, plus your pinned Main Screen layouts. |
| 7 | Team panel | Team Sync (stage cues, metronome, talkback), Messages for the audience, and Timers. |
| 8 | Resource dock | Your libraries: Scriptures, Media, Songs, Presentations, Overlays and Templates. |
| 9 | Music player | Background and pre-service music, without leaving the workspace. |
Preview, then live
The two big panels in the middle are the heart of ChristChant. The Preview on the left is your private workspace: nobody else sees it. The Live Controller on the right is what's on the screens right now.
To move something from one to the other, use Feed (gets it ready without changing the screens) or Feed & Go Live (puts it on screen). Preview, Feed and Go Live explains the difference in detail.
The header tools
| # | Tool | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Search | One search across songs, scripture, media, presentations and templates. Ctrl + F |
| 2 | Command palette | Run an action by name: "blackout", "play the worship playlist", "feed and go live John 3:16". Ctrl + K |
| 3 | Remote | Pair a phone as a remote for the pastor, worship leader or team. |
| 4 | Service calendar | Your services for the month, the week or the year. |
| 5 | Cart | The Marketplace: ready-made presentations, motion backgrounds, Bibles, graphics packs, templates and layouts. |
| 6 | Flow | Pipeline Flow: a live map of every source and which screen it's going to. |
| 7 | Venue | The Screen Map: where each of your screens hangs in the room, as a 2D plan or a walk-through 3D view. |
The live controls
| # | Control | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Focus | Hides the side panels so the Preview and Live Controller fill the window. |
| 2 | AI Assistant | Opens the assistant: type a verse, a song or a command and it goes on screen. Ctrl + J |
| 3 | Lanes | Every pipeline lane on one board: what each holds, what is fed and what is on air. Click a lane to work on it, take a fed lane to the screens, or drag lanes into your own order. Ctrl + L |
| 4 | Overlay | Graphics over whatever is live: props such as lower thirds and QR codes, audience messages, and the see-through overlays of slides, lyrics and verses. The number shows how many are on air. |
| 5 | Play / Stop | Starts or stops the live output. |
| 6 | Black | Blacks every screen with one press. The arrow beside it opens a monitor of every screen, where you can black just one, and the rest of the app dims while it is open. |
