A QR code lets people open your giving page, join the guest Wi-Fi or reach your sermon notes straight from their phone camera. You build them in the QR studio, inside the Slide Editor, and every code you save is kept in a library for reuse.

Make a code

  1. In the Slide Editor, open Elements on the left rail and choose QR.
  2. Click Create QR code. The QR studio opens.
  3. Pick what the code should do, under Content, and fill it in.
  4. Check the status under the preview, then click Add to slide.

What a code can do

TypeWhat people get
LinkA web page, such as a giving page, sign-up form, sermon notes or livestream.
TextAny text to read on their phone.
Wi-FiThe network name and password. Phones join straight from the camera, with no typing. There's an option for a hidden network.
EmailA new message, with the address and subject ready.
CallYour phone number, ready to dial.
SMSA text message to a number, with the message already written.

Check that it scans

The studio tests the code as you design it. Under the preview it says Scans correctly, or May not scan with a hint to try more contrast or a simpler pattern. Warnings appear for:

  • Low contrast between the code and its background.
  • Light code on a dark background, which some older phones can't read.
  • A transparent background, which needs a plain, light part of the slide.

Make it look like yours

The other tabs style the code without changing what it says:

  • Style: the pattern, such as square, rounded, dots or fluid, and the shape of the corners.
  • Colours: solid, gradient or radial fills, and the background (or a transparent one).
  • Logo: place an image or icon in the middle. This covers part of the code, so ChristChant automatically switches to the strongest error correction to keep it readable. Keep the logo small.
  • Frame: a caption above or below the code, such as SCAN ME, or a bubble.

Save and reuse

Click Save to library to keep the code. It appears under Your QR codes in the QR section, and you can click one to add it to the slide you're on. Hover over a saved code to Edit, Duplicate or Delete it. Delete asks you to confirm first.
