Slides and presentations don't share one queue. ChristChant gives them four independent slide lanes, A to D, so the sermon deck can stay ready while the announcements loop runs somewhere else.

Watch: Use the four slide lanes (about 1 minute)

The four lanes

Each lane has its own Preview and its own live slide, just like the other pipelines. Cueing something in one lane never disturbs another. They start with these names:

LaneStarts out as
ASermons
BAnnouncement
CLobby
DTimer
The four slide lanes, each with its own Preview.

The names are only labels. Any lane can hold any deck, so use them however your service works. The lane's letter is shown on its tab, so you can tell them apart even after renaming.

Send a deck to a lane

  1. Open the Presentations tab at the bottom of the window and find your deck.
  2. Right-click it and choose Send to followed by the lane's name, such as Send to Sermons.
  3. For a PDF, you can also click the lane letter (A, B, C or D) on its row. The tooltip says which lane it sends to.

The deck opens in that lane's Preview. Check it there, then put it on the screens with Feed & Go Live, as with any other pipeline.

Check the deck in Preview, then put it on the screens.

Rename or switch off a lane

The quickest way is the Lanes button in the header. It opens a board with every lane: what each one holds and whether it's on air, fed or empty. Click the pencil to rename a slide lane, use the switch to turn a lane off, and drag a lane by its grip to reorder them.

You can do the same in Live Console Settings → Pipelines.

  • A renamed lane keeps working exactly as before; only its label changes.
  • Switching a lane off hides it from the pipeline rail, the switcher, the Send to choices and the Planning chooser.
  • Its loaded content isn't deleted. Switch the lane back on and it returns just as you left it.

You can also rename a lane from its card in Pipeline Flow.

Can one screen show a single lane all service long?

Yes. A screen can follow one lane directly, so a lobby display can show the Lobby lane while the congregation sees the sermon. See Add more screens.

Are Song, Bible and Video lanes the same?

They're separate pipelines. Song, Bible and Video always run and can't be renamed or switched off; only the four slide lanes can.
