Add entrance animations and slide transitions
Choose how text and shapes appear on a slide, and how one slide changes to the next, without overdoing it.

Movement can help people look at the right place, as long as it is calm. ChristChant has two kinds, and you choose each per slide rather than applying it everywhere.
Entrance animations
An entrance animation controls how a single element, such as a line of text or a shape, appears on the slide. Each element has its own animation, duration and delay, so a title can arrive first and a photo can follow.
- Open the slide in the Slide Editor. See Design your own slides.
- Select the element.
- Choose an animation, then set its duration and delay.
Slide transitions
A transition controls how one slide changes into the next, from a plain dissolve to a rotation or an iris reveal. There are more than 21 to choose from.
- Select the slide.
- Choose a transition and set its duration.
- Preview it in the editor before using it live.
Text effects
For styles on lyrics and titles, such as shadow, neon and echo, see Add text effects to lyrics and slides.
