Find anything, and do anything, from the keyboard
Search every library at once with Ctrl + F, and run actions by name with Ctrl + K: blackout, play a playlist, or put a verse on screen in one line.

In the middle of a service there's no time to remember which tab a song lives in. Two keyboard shortcuts get you anywhere: Search finds things, and the Command palette does things.
Search everything: Ctrl + F
Press Ctrl + F, or click the magnifier at the top left, and start typing. One search covers songs (titles and lyrics), scripture, presentations, videos, images, audio, templates and stage layouts.
- Use the tabs (Songs, Scripture, Presentations…) to narrow the results.
- Use ↑ and ↓ to move, and Enter to open the highlighted result.
- Shift-click to select a range, such as several verses in a row.
- Press Esc to close.
Run a command: Ctrl + K
Press Ctrl + K, or click the ⌘ button next to search, and type what you want in plain words.
| Type | Does |
|---|---|
| feed and go live John 3:16 | Puts the verse on the screens. |
| feed Psalm 23 | Gets the passage ready in the Live Controller, without going live. |
| blackout / restore | Blacks out every screen, then brings it back. |
| clear the screen | Takes the words off, keeps the background. |
| play the worship playlist | Starts a music playlist. |
| verses about peace | Finds verses on a topic. |
| open settings | Opens Settings. |
Can I change the shortcuts?
Yes: open Edit → Key Mapping in the menu bar. ChristChant also has shortcuts for the AI Assistant (Ctrl + J), the planning sidebar (Ctrl + B) and the band's metronome (Ctrl + M), and you can change any of them there.
