Run timers: countdowns, stopwatches and a clock for the stage
Use the Timers tab to keep the sermon on time, count down to the start of the service, or show the time of day, with warnings before time runs out.
Timers keep a service on schedule. They run in the control window, show on the screens and stage layouts that use them, and carry on if you restart the app.
Open the Timers tab
In the right-hand panel, switch from Team Sync or Layer Stack to Timers. You can have up to seven timers at once.
Pick a scenario
| Scenario | What it does | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Countdown | Counts down to zero, then keeps going into overtime. | A 30-minute sermon or a 10-minute break. |
| Elapsed | Counts up from zero, like a stopwatch. | How long the service has run. |
| To Time | Counts down to a time of day. | "Service starts at 10:00". |
| Clock | Shows the current time of day, in AM/PM or 24-hour format. | A wall clock on the stage screen. |
Or choose a preset to start fast: 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 30-Min Sermon, 1-Hr Service, Elapsed, Starts 10:00 and Time of Day.
Set up a countdown
- Choose Add timer, or pick a preset.
- Give it a name and set the duration.
- Set Warn at. The timer turns amber at this many seconds left. The default for a countdown is 5 minutes.
- Set Final at. The timer turns red and flashes. The default is 1 minute.
- Add a Message if you like, such as "Wrap up", and turn on Chime at 0 to play a soft chime at zero.
- Start it.
Show it on a screen
A timer appears wherever a layout uses it. The stage screen is the usual place, so the band and speaker can see the time. See Set up the stage monitor.
