Phone messages for the congregation, and team chat

Let a team member send a message from a phone, approve it at the booth before it goes up, and chat with the team during the service.

  3. Team chat

Volunteers can send a message to the congregation screens from their own phones. Nothing goes up until the person at the booth has seen it.

Allow a phone to connect

Before a phone can connect it must pass two checks, so a stranger on your Wi-Fi cannot join.

  1. The phone enters the PIN shown on the desktop.
  2. The desktop then asks you to approve the device. It shows the device name, who is signing in, and the role it will get.
  3. Approve only a device you can see someone on the team holding.

Approve a message

When a phone asks to put a message on screen, a prompt appears at the booth with the text and the name of the device.

  • Check it before it goes up. This is shown in front of the congregation.
  • Edit it if needed. The sender is shown your edited version.
  • Approve to send it to the screens, or dismiss it.

Team chat

Each service has its own team chat. Use it for quick notes between the booth, the stage and the band. Every role can read and post in it. A chat message only reaches the Stage screen when the sender's role may put text there: Pastor, Media Team and Worship Leader can, and Worship Team cannot, so the band can talk without writing on the monitor.

For cues that go to the band's stage screen, see Keep the band in sync.
