Worship-team phones: hear the cues instead of reading them

Musicians cannot read a screen across the room. A team phone speaks the leader's cues, and keeps the click, so the screen can stay locked.

A band member holding an instrument cannot look at a stage screen. So a phone joined to the team does not show the remote. It listens, and speaks the leader's cues out loud.

Join as a team member

  1. On the desktop, open Remote and choose Worship Team or Worship Leader under Pair next device as. See Choose a role for each phone.
  2. Show the QR code or PIN, as in Pair a phone as the remote, and join from the phone.
  3. Approve the device on the desktop when asked. The phone shows Awaiting approval until you do.

What the phone does

  • Speaks each cue the worship leader or pastor sends, such as "Repeat chorus".
  • Shows the cue on screen for a few seconds, for when the phone is face up on a stand.
  • Follows the click. The desktop turns it on and off. The phone only listens.
  • Can hear the talkback microphone when the booth speaks to the band.
  • Can ask the booth to put a message in front of the congregation. A Worship Team phone cannot put words on the stage monitor.

Stay in control of the sound

  • Mute cues keeps cues on the screen but silent. Use Unmute cues to bring the voice back.
  • Mute metronome silences the click sound. The haptic beat keeps going.
  • Test voice plays a sample so you can check you can hear it before the service starts.

When there is nothing to show, the phone says Waiting for a cue from the worship leader. If it says Not connected to the desktop, see The phone will not pair, or keeps disconnecting.
